Deepika Padukone , Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starer Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic Historic "Padmaavat" was on Wednesday cleared for release  in Pakistan, said the edit board's best official.

"'Padmaavat' has been declared fit for public exhibition in the cinema houses without any excision by Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC),"  Mobashir Hasan told news agency IANS by online networking from Islamabad.

As per a few distributors in Pakistan, there were misgivings over the film given the negative depiction of Alauddin Khilji.

Asked some information about it, Mr Hasan stated:  "CBFC isn't biased in arts, creativity and healthy entertainment."

Initially titled "Padmavati", the film's makers were directed to make five adjustments - including name change, expansion of two disclaimers, and a few modifications in a song - before it got a U/An endorsement.

With Deepika Padukone as brave Rani Padmavati, Ranveer Singh as menacing Alauddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as the proud king Maharawal Ratan Singh, the movie -- backed by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions -- sets out to tell a tale of Rajput valour and sacrifice.
